Congratulations to Loch Raven High School senior Kara Jackson who recently won a $1,000 Leaders and Achievers scholarship awarded by the Comcast Foundation.

Jackson received her scholarship at an awards ceremony late last month that was attended by interim State schools superintendent Bernard J. Sadusky and other government officials in Annapolis.

The Comcast Foundation awarded $109,000 in scholarships to high school seniors throughout the state this year.
