Gomer obviously did not read the article, instead relying on his thinly veiled racism to make his statement. It clearly says they caught him by the description of his vehicle and busses are not black cars. If you can comment, you SHOULD be able to read.

Why did he comment without reading the article? How can you have a valid opinion on something when you do not know the facts. Defend him all you want, but he was wrong. I know what he meant by his statement and he has made others like it in the past. I am not the kind of person who is quick to pull the race card but this guy does not even read something before he comments. His mind is already made up, there could only be two causes: Prejudice or Unintelligence. Even you are ignoring that this article clearly mentions that this guy had a vehicle. He was not riding the bus. I am well aware that with bus service comes higher crime rates in some areas, but that is not what this is about. This is about someone making a statement before they know the facts, in fact I don't believe he even cares about the facts. His responses are emotionally charged.

Yes he wasn't riding a bus. He was enjoying a ride in his nice new STOLEN vehicle. He didn't legally purchase it. There is a law against stealing a car but he had one anyway. Same with with guns.

Here is a young black male who has already stolen a car and committed an armed robbery with a knife. WHY??? Did he go to school and graduate, where are his parents, did his family members see him with a stolen vehicle? Here is another black male who will probably be on the road to a life of crime and could be dead in few years. Either you start programs, at a young age, to channel these youths into a lifestyle of responsibility and education or you leave them alone and you might get a life of crime. I never thought I would say this, but the citizens have to intervene to help raise these kids. It seems these kids go to the streets for a family. Sad it usually results in a negative lifestyle.

Kudos to the cops for catching this violent CRIMINAL. Bottom line is, if our law enforcement does their job, respectable citizens will be safe to go wherever they please at whatever time they please. Well folks I see it comes down to the police to stop crime, its not that way anymore as the police are overloaded with paperwork from the crimes committed by this scum. The police work 8 hours a day, half will still be in the station writing reports from the day before then they hit the street and most have to go to court and sit around there for a couple hours, cop cars need service two cars go 1 to drop it off and 2nd to take other back to get another car. By this time its time to go home and only a few cops were on the streets to patrol and answer calls. The police don't have time to patrol your street and thats a fact. Do I sound like a cop as I was before retirement and nothing has changed will neverrrrr change people as the scum will always be here, there, everywhere, your neighbor can be a scumbag so its time for you to help yourselves by community action, someone get the energy and form neighborhood patrols or hire a guard company to do it. Crime will never stop so stop looking for the police to handle everything you don't like or a victim of a crime. That cop was not called to these crimes in progress so they don't know what is happening at that moment, its everybody's problem as cop's get robbed too. Thank you Officers for being there for us putting your life on the line everyday for us, working around the clock and seeing the things you see that the ordinary do not that haunt you for life thank you Officer.

The police do not now nor have they ever PREVENTED CRIMES. They are, in fact, simply armed archaeologists who come in AFTER the crime is committed and perform their archaeological duties of gathering and preserving physical evidence and taking witness statements. When, as in this case, they have information to point them to the criminal AFTER the crime has been committed, then they search for and arrest the perp.

The only solution to this kind of crime is to be armed with a concealed carry permit, and a firearm with which one has been trained on how to shoot. We also need a solid "stand your ground" law, yes, like the one in Florida and a strong "Castle Doctrine" law that protects law-abiding citizens from civil lawsuits from the perps and their families after the law-abiding citizen punches their family member's one-way ticket to meet Jesus.

He is black and the majority of the people in White Marsh, Perry Hall area are White. I'm white and live in Perry Hall. I used to live in Edgewood when I moved here from the Bronx, the good part. Yes, there is a good part that is mainly made up of white people. Anyhow Im glad to get out of Edgewood because I didn't know any better when I moved there as I was new to the area. It's not that white people are scared of black or black scared of white. The truth is black people commit more crimes then white. When Im out I do use racial profiling. If Im on a plane I look for the Arab guy. If Im in a general area I look at the black guy. Its all about protecting myself and my family and there is nothing wrong with that. I would help a black person in a minute but again I always watch my back depending on where I am at. If im in Dundalk or Essex yes I watch out for the white guy. So im not a racist but realistic and we all just need to live with it.

Congratulations to the police for making the arrest. However, it is doubtful anything will happen to the criminal through the court system. That is realistic. Let's stop making excuses for these people as to their upbringing and blah blah blah. These people have televisions and computers, probably stolen ones but none the less they have televisions and computers, which have news channels that actually report other crimes committed and such. They are well aware of criminal acts so again let's stop making excuses for these people and work on pushing for stronger laws to punish criminals and protect the victims. White Marsh Mall is nothing more than a free place to shop anymore. These people go in an steal in plain sight and are not stopped because store employees are told to do nothing. The Avenue at White Marsh is HORRIBLE. Don't even attempt to go there on a weekend night. There are several uniformed police officers walking around the Avenue and police cars driving around. They are not security officers, they are police officers. The women are dressed like prostitutes with their stuff hanging out on both ends which is pretty disgusting since most are trying to squeeze a size 18 into a size 2 clothing and males butts hanging out. MAJOR EYESORE. The majority of the people are loud, rude and obnoxious. No one wants to hear the loud music in your cars with the foul language nor do they want to hear the gutter mouth that your mother hasn't corrected you of. Sad !

I am 12 and yes this is my first time posting I ask my mom can I post because not to long ago on here there was a story about to men who dotted in a cat crash an one of the men was my best friend of all my life was her uncle and people was talking trash like most of the people on here are doing and let's not forget it's not only blacks that blast foul music from there car and try to force themselves into little clothing and have there butts hanging out

Grow up people! If you are looking to blame you only need to look in the mirrior. You, I, and everyone else in this society are to blame for what is going on by the simple fact that we have allowed it to happen. ie... Common mentallity " It's not affecting me so why should I care". If you really want to do something about our lame society get involved with local delegates, churches, schools, or any youth administrative type programs instead of resting on your Laurels and pointing fingers.
