Boscov's is looking to give White Marsh Mall another try.

After a four-year vacancy, the department store is returning to its former front at the mall. It is expected to open in November 2012, company officials announced Thursday.

“I’m glad we are returning to White Marsh Mall. It was a great store, and we look forward to creating a new, more exciting Boscov’s in the Baltimore area," Chairman and CEO Albert Boscov said in a statement.

The White Marsh location was one of 10 Boscov's to close in 2008, when the chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. 

Boscov's has sold apparel, accessories, cosmetics and electronics for nearly 100 years. The company currently operates 40 stores in Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware, according to the announcement.
