Carney/Cub Hill Crime: Jewelry Stolen In Burglaries

Montego Avenue, 9300 block. Between 7:45 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Nov. 7. A silver ring, a 1975 Notre Dame Prep class ring, a silver cross pendant, change, a Nintendo Wii and 15 video games were stolen from a home. Burglars broke in through a front window and ransacked two bedrooms.
Skywood Court, unit block. Between 3 and 6 p.m. Nov. 5. Cash, two Polaroid cameras, a Seiko watch, an 1893 Chicago World's Fair pocket watch, a University of Delaware class ring and a Roy Rogers lunchbox containing rare coins were stolen from a home. Burglar got inside by breaking in through a rear door.
Northwind Road, 9600 block. Between 7 a.m. and 6:41 p.m. Nov. 5. The master bedroom of a home was ransacked and Oxycodone pills were stolen after burglars broke into the home through a rear door.
Flagstone Drive, 9400 block. Between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Nov. 5. Costume jewelry, valued at a total of $150, was stolen from a home. Burglars were able to get inside by forcing open a rear door, causing $100 in damages to the frame.
Ramort Drive, 8500 block. Between 1:20 and 1:30 a.m. Nov. 4. Cash was stolen from a home during a home invasion robbery. According to a police report two men, one armed with a shotgun and another armed with a handgun entered the home through a basement door.
Once inside they demanded money from a woman who, along with a man, rents the basement of the townhome from the homeowner.
The incident remains under investigation and police say they believe drugs could be involved.
Stoneway Place, unit block. At 4:24 p.m. Nov. 2. A group of teenagers stole a package left on the front porch of a home. A homeowner saw the teens, and they dropped both the package and the shampoo bottles it contained. Police searched the area but were unable to find the three male teens.
