Baltimore County Police are warning residents in the Linover area that cars in the neighborhood have recently been broken into.
According to Lt. Ron Brooks of White Marsh Precinct 9, two burglaries were reported over last weekend.
The first, Brooks said, occurred in the unit block of Lyndale Road where a white Hyundai Santa Fe was broken into overnight Nov. 3.
"It was reported on Nov. 4," Brooks said. "That previous night someone had gone through the car, they didn’t take anything but they clearly went through it."
On the 300 block of nearby Elinor Avenue, Brooks said a Ford Windstar minivan was broken into and about $40 worth personal items, including a driver's license, were taken from the vehicle.
"Alert! There were at least 14 vehicles that were ransacked over the weekend on Brookwood, Lyndale, and Elinor," the group wrote on their Facebook page. "Please let us know if your vehicle was as well. Check around your yard for wallets and disposed of items. Some empty wallets have been found in the neighborhood."
According to the Facebook post the vehicles that were broken into were unlocked, and the group reminded residents to lock their vehicles at night.
For his part, Brooks could only confirm the two thefts from auto over the weekend.
