If you're one of the Parkville-Overlea residents who happens to live on the Baltimore City side of the line, the Department of Public Works has announced curbside pickup and mulching for Christmas trees.
Residents can drop off trees to be mulched at the Reedbird Avenue Citizen Convenience Center, 701 Reedbird Avenue, every Friday and Saturday in January from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to a news release from the city department.
Community groups and individuals are encouraged to bring bags or containers to collect mulch, which will be available free of charge, the release says.
Those who cannot make it out to southwest Baltimore are reminded that the Department of Public Works will collect Christmas Trees at curbside through the end of January.
Trees can be left out on regular trash collection days at the location where trash is normally collected.
