Like most of Maryland, The Halstead Academy of Science and The Arts was swept up in Orioles Magic.

But for the Parkville school, it paid off—they won third place in the Orioles "Go Orange Challenge" and consequently won tickets to an April 2013 game for their entire student body.

The Orioles announced the win on their website Monday. St. Philip Neri School in Linthicum took first, and Perry Hall Elementary School in Perry Hall took second.

A number of schools from the Parkville-Overlea area participated in the contest; participants decorated their schools inside and out with an "Orioles look" and dressed in orange and Orioles gear, according to the organization's website.

Check out a gallery of photos submitted to the Orioles by area schools including Halstead Academy, Carney Elementary, Oakleigh Elementary, St. Peter's Christian Day School and St. Michael the Archangel School above.
