UPDATED: Juveniles Arrested, Charged As Adults In Loch Raven Robbery

The robbery occurred late Tuesday night in a parking lot off Loch Raven Boulevard.

Three juveniles have been arrested and two will be charged as adults in connection with a Tuesday night robbery in the Loch Raven Village area.

Joshua Castillo, 16, 1600 block of Cromwell Bridge Road and Dakota Fletcher, 17, 1600 block of Cromwell Bridge Road are charged as adults with armed robbery, second-degree assault and theft. The third person arrested is a 13-year-old and is charged as a juvenile.

Around 11:30 p.m. Dec. 8, police responded to a robbery call. The victim told them he exited the McDonald's store in the 6800-block of Loch Raven Boulevard and was walking through the parking lot of a nearby Rite Aid store when he noticed three people following him, according to police spokeswoman Cpl. Cathleen Batton.

One of the men displayed a handgun, and the victim turned over cash, a cheeseburger, cigarettes and a lighter. The robbers then fled, and the victim ran to a nearby Giant grocery store where he asked a worker to call 911, Batton said.

Police searched the area and arrested three juveniles, a 13-year-old, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old, Batton said. Investigation revealed the gun used in the robbery to be a BB gun, Batton said.

The two oldest juveniles will be charged as adults, she said.

Last Thursday, a woman was robbed of cash by 8 people on nearby Taylor Avenue.

Where are the parents???? Tuesday is a school night and these kids are out at 11:30PM robbing people?? I really blame these dysfunctional families. People have kids and don't have a clue how to raise them to be REASPONSIBLE adults. People, wake up! Being a parent is a 24 hr 365 days a year job. Raise your children just don't procreate.

@Awesome Fake Name: I hope you aren't a parent. I would be searching for my kids if they were out at 1130PM on a school night. Why are these kids rotten and bad. It begins with good parenting at their young age. I have been there so I know what a job it is to raise responsible and lawbiding kids. It is not an easy job but the results are worth it.

Every day there appears to be robberies in this Taylor, Loch Raven, Goucher crime triangle...the county put a speed camera on Goucher but how about crime cameras? It seems a big portion of crime is in a couple blocks that could easily be covered with a few cameras.

ParkvilleHoney u do have valid points. MANY ppl have "kids", but MANY ppl do NOT "raise children" 2 be productive, responsible citizens. I knew w/ my older children just as I do w/ my younger children where they are, They would NEVER be allowed out on a school nite past 9p. U also can "Do EVERYTHING right" as a parent & STILL HAVE children that are just born heathens/malcontents. The law only provides so much help, IF ANY AT ALL. In 2day's world u have 2 be HYPER-VIGILANT @ ALL TIMES--Day or Night--2 protect urself &ur family. Some area's just lend themselves to a higher statistical degree of criminality & have to adjust ur behavior, actions & reactions accordingly. I stopped using those shopping centers all 2gether over 10 yr's ago-day or night. Other then the Giant, look at the types of stores. Why do u think Greetings & Reading left years ago---The Decline of the Area, now "comically known as EAST TOWSON", What a joke!!! It's Hillendale. Beware of society in general, sad but true.
