I was in an accident there once. It was a rainny night and about 5 minutes earlier someone was speeding and hydroplaned in their dark colored vehicle. They left it parked in the middle of lanes 2 and 3 at an angle. By the time I saw the vehicle, which had no lights on I couldn't move over because of an 18 wheeler on my right. Luckily for us no one was hurt.

Not good when they have to bring in the helicopter. What a horrific crash from the picture. Be safe people!

With the volume of traffic on the road right now, you would think that people would try to be a little more cautious of each other.....be safe out there, its a nightmare!!!!!

Cautious...it's a joke. Can't tell you how many times I get stuck in traffic in the morning commute because of accidents, some of them serious. As soon as some of these morons clear the area around the wreck they shoot oout back to the normal 75-80 mph. as if a horrendous wreck brings one no pause. It's time the police start issuing serious tickets for speeding, aggression, inattentiveness, not to mention texting and yapping on the phone which continues despite recent laws and studies that prove how dangerous it is.

What are you talking about near Rt.43? I just got on I-95 southbound after leaving the Wegmans on Rt. 24.and the traffic had slowed to a virtual stop from people looking at the horrible accident on the northbound lanes, about a mile and a half south of Rt.24.
It looked like every emergency vehical in the area was there including 4 ambulances. It looked like younger folks were involed and all I could think as I drove by at five miles and hour, was I'll bet the person responsible for this was TEXTING!!!!!!!!.....This crap has to STOP!!!! WAKE UP LAWMAKERS!!!!

ANDREA -- We were behind and saw as the car flipped over. (Did not see contact, but we could tell what happened). I got you out of the black car (up-side-down) and then triaged the victim in the other car. Shoecanoe's daughter may have helped pull you out.. honestly I could not say as once you were ok I went to the other car.
I want to know status of the hurt victim. I left once emergency arrived as I had my family in car and there was nothing else I could do.
If you were truly the girl in car please contact me. koster_99@yahoo.com
I can prove to you that I was the one to get you out.
Thanks
David

Seriously Wilson? Sorry you feel people's genuine concern as fraud. What is to be gained? My daughter is close in age to Andrea. She was very shaken by the experience. Not from the area she did want to know how the victims faired but did not want to relive the pictures already in herons forever.

And Wilson, you're an idiot. If you look yp Ms Gallagher on judiciary case search, you will see she drives an 05 Cadillac, and that is certainly what the car flipped in the ditch appears to be.

Hello there, No I'm not an anti-texter love to text but not while I'm driving. I've seen too many near close calls from people driving and trying to text at the same time going about 75/80 miles an hr. plain crazy. I need to reword this, texting while trying to drive because they sure aren't doing a very good job of driving, then it ends up being the person that didn't casue the accident is the one that get hurt or killed becasue someone just couldn't wait.

My son saw the accident and was quite worried about those involved. Andrea I am very thankful that you are okay and that God and his army of angels protected you. We will continue to pray for complete healing for you. To Wilson, yes God has time for us, even you, and I am sorry that you feel the need to take such a horrific event to spew your venom. I only pray that you are not in the same situation one day. My prayers are with all involved in the accident.

Don't want to get into a war of words but perhaps, like me, Andrea, if still in the hospital has a smart-phone with internet or hopefully she is already resting at home, either way that was a serious accident that could have been fatal and the long term effects from neck and back injuries are very possible. Wilson, I understand your question about God not protecting those innocent children from the priests and no I am not going to answer with "He works in mysterious ways" the truth is I don't know why bad things happen to good people. I just know that this world is filled with evil and bad things will happen. A sin is a sin, whether it is telling a lie or something as terrible as child molestation. And yes, even priests can circum to sin, even the worst kind, but it is not for me to judge but like all who sin, God will judge. The one thing I can be sure of is that God loves you and me and everyone he has created, warts and all and when I accepted Jesus' sacrafice for my sin, though I will be judged, I know he loves me and will welcome me with open arms. I hope that one day, in your time, you will seek to learn the truth about God, He's waiting patiently for you and all to know Him. :)

I honestly am shocked reading some of these posts. It's truly sad how people are arguing about how the accident may have occurred rather then sighing relief that no one was killed in this accident. who cares how the hell it happened, the people involved escaped with their lives. You people should be ashamed of yourselfs. And just because you have a back/neck injury doesn't make you incapable of using your smart phone to stick up for yourself against a group of people who need to mind their business and not judge what happened unless you where In either car. .

@Wilson I worked with her for a year, so you misjudged me which is not a shock, considering how much of a negative judgemental person you are based off the posts you have been leaving.

Wilson, your comments are crude & inappropriate. I was coming across the Clayton Rd overpass above 95 right after it happened. If you looked up, you saw a bunch of people standing on the overpass.

I got out and I saw the black car flipped & another silver color car that looked like it had to be cut open(?) I'm a nurse. If I could have gotten down there to help, I would have but emergency crew were already there.

Andrea, so glad to hear you're ok. My heart was in my throat looking down on the accident. I hope & pray the other person is ok too. But I would caution you about writing anything in relation to the accident & possible injuries on a public board. Can turn around & bite you later on.

Wilson, it never ceases to amaze me how many rude, callous people there are out there when I read posts like yours. Grow up!

53sting, were you the lady my husband & I were talking to? I was taking pics to send to our college kid as a hint to be careful driving in OC. He works there over the summer. First time driving down there.

I saw the accident & immediately thought of our own son. My heart goes out to everyone there and my hats off to all the MD State Police & Emergency workers there!
