If your commute includes the stretch of Harford Road between Fork and Fallston, you can expect delays until mid-August.

Beginning this week, State Highway Administration crews will work on a $163,000 project to replace a culvert over a portion of a tributary to Little Gunpowder Falls, according to a statement from the department.

Lanes will be closed as crews work from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, signifcantly impacting traffic during those hours in the area of Harford Road near Gunpowder State Park.

According to a statement from the State Highway Administration, "the project includes removing an existing box culvert under Harford Road and widening a second culvert underneath Harford Road.  Crews will remove one box culvert, construct a new pipe run, construct a new drainage ditch along the road and reconstruct the pavement over the newly widened box culvert."

The construction project is expected to be completed, weather permitting, by mid-August 2012.
