Louis Vuitton, Gucci Bags Stolen Near White Marsh Bus Stop
A New York woman said she was pushed before her property was stolen early Tuesday morning.
A New York woman reported that two designer bags, among other items, were stolen while she waited for a ride near White Marsh Mall.
At about 2:40 a.m. on Sept. 18, two men approached a 35-year-old woman, pushed her and stole her property, which had been resting on the ground near the bus stop in the 8200 block of Perry Hall Boulevard, according to a police report.
Police said the woman had been waiting near the bus stop for a ride from an acquaintance. A witness ran after the men, but was unable to reach them.
Among the items reported stolen were a Louis Vuitton duffle bag, a Gucci purse, a DVD player and $120 in cash, the police report showed.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing, according to Capt. Michael Balog of the White Marsh police precinct.

Exactly. Looks like someone got kicked out of her previous residence, who carries that much stuff that late at night.

You know its bad when one cannot hang out at a bus stop after 2:00am with designer bags, a DVD player, and a wad of cash and not expect to get robbed. What's this world coming too? (sarcasm)

While disturbing that we keep having to read about this *ahem* bus stop related crimes in the area, who is out at almost 3 AM with that amount of expensive items standing on a bus stop? At least she wasn't trying to park at The Avenue too.

Perhaps she'd gotten from the megabus?!? Love how the victim is blamed.

You know what Lala? If you are planning on getting off of a Megabus at a deserted mall in the middle of the night, you'd better have a plan in effect. Standing around alone with expensive items is like wearing a target. I'm not saying it's her fault that there are bad people, but my parents taught me to at least have SOME common sense when it comes to knowing my surroundings and that just sounds like an incident waiting to happen.

Most trouble is avoided by staying away from the situations that historically lead to said trouble.

Everybody is assuming that she was really carrying those items. Just because she reported them stolen, doesn't make it so. The whole story sounds fishy to me.

I agree with you Lala! If you read the story it says she was waiting for someone to pick her up near the bus stop. Sounds like she got off the megabus from shopping somewhere and her ride was late to pick her up! It is really a shame when there is a police station across the street and you are still not safe!

Then if she was getting off the Megabus and she has her ticket and receipts for the item, then report that information so people don't have to speculate. Just because there is a police station across the street doesn't mean they have a department of Pre Crime like in Minority Report and they can anticipate crimes. You haven't been safe since the buses extended their routes and that is a fact. Compare crime statistics before and after the bus came and it's obvious.

Regardless of whether or not this lady should have been out at that hour, the crime remains the same and she remains the victim. Yes! Times have changed, but right and wrong has not! Let's be more supportive of the victim. It could have been you- early morning or not!
