Man Arrested, Charged In Rosedale Home Burglary

The following information was provided by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information supplied does not indicate a conviction.

A Rosedale man was arrested after police say he tried to break into a neighbor's home late Monday night.

Andrew Jackson Starcher, 25, of the 8000 block of Edgewater Road in Rosedale was arrested and charged with first- and third-degree burglary, malicious destruction of property and trespassing, according to online court records.

Around 11:35 p.m. on Jan. 7, in the 8000 block of Edgewater Avenue, police said Starcher broke a glass window to gain access to the porch of a home. The homeowner then scared the burglar off, according to a police report.

Police responded and arrested Starcher at his home, the police report showed.

Starcher, who was arrested in October on a drug charge, is being held on $15,000 bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center, according to online court records.
