Marks Reappoints Towson Arts Collective VP to Arts and Sciences Commission

Kate Mansperger, first appointed in 2007, sits on panel that distributes county grant money.

County Councilman David Marks has reappointed Carney resident Kate Mansperger to the Baltimore County Commission on Arts and Sciences, he announced Monday.

"I am very happy to reappoint Kate Mansperger to the Commission on Arts and Sciences," Marks said.  "She has been extraordinarily active in promoting arts and culture in Baltimore County, not only as an educator, but also as a co-founder of the Towson ARTS Collective."

Mansperger, who lives in Cub Hill, was first appointed to the board in 2007. An art teacher at Notre Dame Preparatory School, Mansperger also serves as vice president of the Towson ARTS Collective. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, and master's degrees from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland and Goucher College.

The commission, partially funded with state grants, awards grants to arts and science projects throughout the county.
