Parkville/Carney Crime: Copper Wire Stolen from Parkville High

Putty Hill Avenue, 2600 block. Between 2:30 p.m. May 10 and 7 a.m. May 11. Twenty-four rolls of copper wire were stolen from an Enterprise Electric Co. storage unit on the construction site at Parkville High School. Police said burglars had to remove a padlock from the unit to get inside.
Clarkworth Place, 7800 block. Between 9 p.m. May 13 and 12 p.m. May 15. A white 2001 Dodge Caravan with Maryland tags 4AK2953 was stolen from outside a home.
Arizona Avenue, 3000 block. Between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. May 15. A television, two safes, various tools, a computer and an XBox 360 were stolen from a home; a total loss of more than $8,000. A burglar got into the home through a rear bedroom window.
Police said there was a witness to the crime who told them there was a white work van parked in front of the home during the hours when the burglary occurred.
The witness also reported having seen a black male between 30 and 35 years old and approximately 6 feet tall walking from the home carrying a ladder. The man was wearing dark pants and an orange shirt at the time.
