Parkville/Carney Crime: Girl Assaulted Outside Nail Salon

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases were a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

East Joppa Road, 3200 block, at 7:40 p.m., Nov. 9. A 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted while near her parked vehicle, according to police reports. The girl was removing a towel from the trunk of her vehicle when she was approached by a man who grabbed her from behind and in the process, assaulted her. She struck her assailant, who then ran into the woods behind the homes on Oak Summit Avenue.

Police responded with aviation units searching the area for a white male between 16 and 18 years old, approximately 5-feet-7 with a slim build and short, straight brown hair, last seen wearing a red short-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.

A search of the area did not locate the suspect.

Willoughby Road, 3300 block, between 5 and 5:30 p.m., Nov. 9. Two Xboxes and a Nintendo Wii along with about 15 video games were stolen from a home, a loss of $1,350. Entry was gained via an unlocked front door.

Putty Hill Avenue, 2600 block, at 1 pm., Nov. 8. A student set fire to paper in a bathroom stall at Parkville High School.

Topaz Road, 2800 block, at 4:57 a.m., Nov. 3. A 30-year-old Nottingham man was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary after he broke into his ex-girlfriend's apartment.

Matthews Drive, 2600 block, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:40 p.m., Nov. 8. A laptop computer, two Coach purses, two flatscreen televisions, a Nintendo Wii, a DVD player, jewelry, luggage and alcohol were stolen from a home, a loss of almost $4,000. Police are uncertain as to how entry was gained to the home.

Manns Avenue, 2900 block, between 7:45 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., Nov. 8.  A Playstation 3 and two Playstation 3 games were stolen from a home, a total loss of over $360. Entry was gained by using a keypad.

Jennifer Road, 8700 block, between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., Nov. 8. A silver bracelet and Tylenol were stolen from a home after entry was gained through an unlocked sliding door.

Matthews Drive, 2600 block, between 7 a.m. and 4:20 p.m., Nov. 4. Jewlery was stolen from a home after a brick was used to break a window to get inside.

Conroy Court, 2900 block. On Nov. 2. A 14-year-old boy was assaulted in a parking lot as he was walking home. His assailants stole a basketball binder and cash.
