A group of Carney Elementary School students lifted their voices at White Marsh Mall this weekend as part of an event designed to celebrate education.

The celebrate schools event was held on Saturday and 51 fourth and fifth graders from Carney Elementary turned out to sing their hearts out.

Carney Elementary School principal Stacey Durkovic submitted these photos of the Cougar Claws, the vocal music group led by teacher Sonja Floyd.

The group also recently performed at Barnes & Noble on The Avenue for a school fundraiser.
