Nyaira Sherri McMillion, 16, was last seen Aug. 17 at her grandmother's Dundalk home.
The Baltimore County Police Department is asking for the community's assistance in locating a 16-year-old girl last seen in the Dundalk area.
Nyaira Sherri McMillion, 16, has been missing since Aug. 17, when she was last seen at her grandmother's Dundalk home, according to a statement from the police department.
McMillion is a black female, 5-foot-3, about 162 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white and pink striped blouse, capri jeans of an unknown color and silver strapped sandals.
The teenager is known to frequent the Hillendale and Dundalk areas.
Since her disappearance on Aug. 17, McMillion has not been heard from, including through social networks. She has never been reported missing before, and there is concern she may have gone to meet someone she met online, officials said in the statement.

If an Amber Alert was issued why wasn't it on the news to get word out about her?

The amber alert chevy suv md tag 7AG6950 was for the missing one year old boy. I don't know this girl but have a daughter her age and 3 other children. I would want an amber alert issued regardless of age, race or social economic class.

REGARDLESS of her age (I think that may be the real factor here) they should have issued the Amber Alert. She needs to call her Grandmother, at the very least, IF this is just a case of teenage rebellion (The embarrassment the teenager would experience would be enough to prevent this from happening again). Somebody out there knows where she is.

The more people made aware of a missing person or persons, the better chances of someone providing a lead in the case. All pertinent information should be listed.
Without the assistance of the public, the police can only do so much. They depend on gathering the right information in every case.
