Second Suspect Arrested in Owings Mills Man's Murder

County police say they have a second man in custody for the June 12 murder of Miguiel Anthony Bailey.

A second man has been arrested in connection with the June 12 murder of an Owings Mills man on Mopec Circle.

Police say they have taken 24-year-old DeAngelo Devonne Johnson, of the unit block of Delight Avenue in Fullerton into custody. He faces charges of first-degree murder and armed robbery in connection with the June 12 shooting death of Miguiel Anthony Bailey.

Last Tuesday Bailey, an Owings Mills resident, was found shot to death in the back seat of his Chevrolet Impala on Mopec Circle in the Overlea area.

Yesterday, police announced they had arrested and charged a Cedonia man with first-degree murder and armed robbery in connection with the case.

Linwood Tymais Smith was arrested at Good Samaritan Hospital where he went to seek treatment for a gunshot wound to the cheek that he alegedly suffered during the incident, police said.

Both Johnson and Smith are currently being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Correction: An earlier version of this article listed Johnson's residence as being in the 3600 block of Delight Avenue; that has been corrected to reflect his true residence, in the unit block of Delight Avenue, 21236. Patch regrets the error.

Wow, 24 years old. That's a shame. Another life wasted.

I hope Johnson rots in jail. All the stuff he has done and gets off slap on the wrist. Sadly it took someone getting killed now maybe the police and judge will keep him in jail. That’s where he belongs....

Maybe I don't understand the Maryland court system. With a rap sheet that Deangelo Devonne Johnson has, why hasn't he spent some real time in jail? Does it take a murder for judges to get serious about putting a criminal behind bars. I hope he gets serious time in jail since this guy was a walking timebomb for murder.

I think someone must have mis filed the " Catch and Release" laws for rockfish under the criminal laws instead of Fish and Game. Otherwise one would have to conclude that Marylands court system is broken and Judges as well as District Attorneys who accept ridiculous plea deals need to be replaced in mass.

I knew DeAngelo ever since I was young. I used to go to his house and play with his brothers. I hope the best for his family.

really shandon???? what about the young man who lost his life. People are so stupid...He was a time bomb waiting to explode and you thought he would change. Please. All of these young men threw their lives away. Has anyone realized that our black men are becoming extinct because they are killing each other. No need to blame the white men....no need to hate or blame anyone else for their actions...we are doing it to ourselves. Black men need to stand up and raise these young black boys....single black moms...teach them early to be respectful and to love themselves maybe this will turn around
