Two Arrested After Alleged Drug Deal Turned Armed Robbery

A Middle River man and a 17-year-old from Nottingham have been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged drug-deal-turned-armed-robbery.

Around 7:30 p.m Nov. 19, two people met with 27-year-old Francisco Daniel Lasanta and Caleb Joseph Auberg in order to buy some marijuana, according to Lt. Ron Brooks of the police department's White Marsh precinct.

The victims got into a vehicle in the 500 block of Dale Avenue with Lasanta and Auberg, at which point they tried to rob the victims of the cash being used to transact the deal, Brooks said.

Police were called to the scene and one of the suspects fled into the neighborhood and was arrested in the 5900 block of Daybreak Terrace.

Lasanta, of the 200 block of Riverthorn Road, faces three counts of kidnapping, three counts of armed robbery and one count of second-degree assault. He is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Auberg, of the unit block of Leslie Avenue, has been charged as an adult with three counts of armed robbery and three counts of kidnapping, along with a felony handgun violation, is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $75,000 bond.
