This week, instead of a guessing game, I'm going to ask an honest question since I'm not sure of the answer.
The nursery, pictured here in a photo from 1939, was called E. Pielke & Son, and was incorporated in 1912, according to information posted along with the photo on the Baltimore County Public Library's legacy web.
The caption at the bottom of the photo places it on Belair Road in Fullerton.

Listed on google for 7937 Belair Rd. address is where Taco Bell is though.

I think they family lived in that stone house between Taco Bell and Jerry's. And I only beat you to it, Brian,because I had to get up and see how the O's did last night!

That's too cool. I did google Pielke and Sons and got that address but on the map an arrow pointed to a nearby shopping center and I thought that couldn't be right. How long ago was the nursery still there?

It's been gone a long time -- the old stone house still stands but it's in poor shape. [My cousin Emil used it as an office for quite a while, but he's now among the departed and his widow owns it.]

Closs Volkswagen was built in the early 1970's on the site that is now Jerry's Toyota. I can't remember what was there before the car dealer. They used the address 8001 Belair Rd. I worked there for a couple years.

what was there before was a brick ranch house, where I lived! hahahahaha My father and mother and brother previously lived in the stone house, but as our families grew, more space was needed. It was 7939 Belair Road then. [Do you remember Hose Maneth -- aka Totty?? He's on FaceBook. [He worked there for years and years.
