Vintage Parkville-Overlea: Church & Streetcar
Do you know where in the greater Parkville-Overlea area this photo was taken?
For this week's look into Parkville-Overlea history we turn to this photo, taken in 1936, of a church somewhere in our neighborhood.
The church is still there today, but it certainly doesn't look like it did in this photograph. For what it's worth, the road is still there too—but the streetcar definitely isn't.
The photo reprinted above was originally found on Baltimore County Public Library's Legacy Web, but do your best not to go look it up (that would ruin the fun).

The church, I believe, is the Hiss UMC on Harford and Puddy Hill. The "Chapel" is still standing and is still in use. It is located within the Hiss UMC. Come visit us any Sunday Morning. 8:00, 9:39 or 11:00. You are more than welcome. Also look up our web page for more information.
