Vintage Parkville-Overlea: Going for a Drive
Do you know where in the greater Parkville-Overlea area this photo was taken?
The bridge shown in this photo is somewhere in the greater Parkville-Overlea area, but do you know where?
It was built in 1913 and stood the test of time until it was finally demolished 75 years later. Though this bridge is gone, another has stepped up to take its place and now, as then, it is still a pretty nice place to go for a drive.
This photo, taken in the 1920's by E.T. Kenney, was downloaded from the Baltimore County Public Library's Legacy Web photo collection. Follow the link and search the catalog for historic photographs to browse the collection.
Leave your best guess as to where the photo was taken and your memories of the area in the comments.

My brother and I were little kids and we rented a boat and were fishing the day they were demolishing the two spans. The crane they were using fell off the barge into the water. It must be really deep there because all you could see sticking out of the water was the crane boom tip sheaves.
