Vintage Parkville-Overlea: Old-time Intersection
Guess where in the greater Parkville-Overlea area this photo was taken.
it can be pretty amazing to take a trip back through time, looking at photographs of our neighborhood as it stood 40, 50 and even 60 years ago.
This photograph, posted to the Facebook group "You Know You're From Parkville, Md When..." by Joseph E. Smith, shows an intersection you probably know well.
But do you know which one?

Rich,
You are absolutely right. I wasn't expecting someone to guess so quickly—that intersection has changed a lot over the years. I certainly didn't recognize it at all when I saw it.

I would never have guessed, and I live there! Please keep these photos coming.

I also live just a couple of blocks away, and never would have imagined how it used to look. I lived about half a mile away about 40 years ago, but can't remember what the intersection looked like. Considering the heavy traffic at that intersection now, I wish the old one was back!
