Visions for Vacancies: 7613 Harford Road

What would you like to see in this vacant commercial space?

Parkville Shopping Center is, in some ways, a thriving hub of activity in the Parkville neighborhood.

Recently, Patch reported that Giant supermarket is moving into the shopping center. Soon, a gym called Fitness 19 is expected to occupy one storefront and other tenants, like Cafe Euro and Parkville Lanes, are locally-owned businesses and old standbys.

But several vacant storefronts remain in the shopping center. For today, we'll focus on one: a former podiatrist's office located at 7613 Harford Road, next to Cafe Euro.

The website for Regency Centers, the real estate firm that handles leasing and property management for the center, lists the square footage of the space as 1,233 square feet.

What sort of business do you think would be a great fit for this space? Would you like to see Parkville Shopping center get new tenants? Tell us in the comments.

I'd love to see a craft supply store. I used to frequent Ben Franklin all the time when they were there...now I'm forced to go to Towson or White Marsh.

I would like to see a yarn store or a sewing store which would offer lessons in knitting, crocheting or if a sewing store sewing lessons.

Nick, have you heard anything about the vacant spaces in Parkville Shopping Center? The leasing agent only one was available to be leased, but the regency website says four are available, and several of the spaces have signs in the windows saying they're available- one's near the tire place, the other three are close to Café Euro.

Johnny from Café Euro told me there might be a pet store in the old Linen World, but there's nothing definite yet.
