Visions for Vacancies: Former Linen World
What would you like to see in this vacant commercial space?
Linen World in Parkville Shopping Center closed its doors back in January the space it formerly occupied at 7613 1/3 Harford Road has sat empty.
The question for the day is: what business do you think would be a good fit for this 5,180 square foot space two doors down from Cafe Euro and located next to the Dollar Tree?

Vacancies like the one left by Linen World are fairly rare in the shopping center according to leasing data from Regency Centers, the real estate company that manages the property.
A chart on the company website shows only three other vacancies in the shopping center: a former podiatrist's office we talked about in this column last week; a space currently occupied by the membership office for Fitness 19, a gym that will soon open in the space formerly occupied by Good Stuff Cheap; and the space formerly occupied by the restaurant Buffalo Wings & Beer, next to Rite Aid.
With the opening of a new Giant store in the space left vacant when Fresh & Greens left town on the horizon, Parkville Shopping Center looks to be thriving.
What sort of business would bring you to shop at Parkville Shopping Center? Tell us in the comments.

If a sewing and yarn store went into the podiatrist office, I would love to see a fabric store (like Fabric Warehouse) come around. Joann Fabrics always has such a long wait for the cutting counter and their prices aren't great. Walmart is phasing out their fabric department. Its getting tough to make handmade items that don't cost a fortune!

I think a pet shop would be fantastic. Something small yet convenient. If I had the funds, I'd open one myself. Having been working in the veterinary field for nearly 20 years, it's been my dream! I'd totally support a shop like that. BUT... one stipulation: NO SELLING LIVE PETS!

Chelle that's a great idea I love Pets also ,the only thing is who would want a dead pet as a pet ?? JK I remember when i was a kid there used to be a good pet store where the tax place is now. What was the name of the place ??? Sea breeze??? If I had the money I would love to open a kids bounce and play zone .We need something like that for the area . How about a teen rec center ,or even better an indoor crab farm
