Your Weekend: Parkville Towne Centre Fair

The 28th annual Parkville street fair takes place from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. this Saturday.

If you're looking for something to do this weekend The Parkville Towne Centre Fair will be held on Harford Road Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

This is the first year that the festival will be held on a Saturday instead of a Sunday, and organizers with the Parkville-Carney Business Professional Association are hoping that will help draw bigger crowds to the event.

Harford Road will be closed between Dubois Avenue and Taylor Avenue from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday. A shuttle bus to the fair will run from Parkville Senior Center.

If you're going, you can expect to hear live music from Whisky Train. The band takes the stage near Putty Hill Avenue from 12:30-4 p.m.

For the first time ever this year, the fair will feature a beer garden sponsored by Racers Cafe and Flying Dog Brewery.

Of course, there will be plenty of food vendors on hand; including Big Bad Wolf's House of BBQ, Busia's Kitchen, The Bowman Restaurant and Phillips Seafood.

On the Lavender Avenue parking lot, you'll be able to check out some classic and custom cars during the Ragin' Rats Kustoms and Tuners Car Show.

And for the kids, expect appearances from the Ravens mascot Poe from 12:30-2:30 p.m. and a variety of games provided by Towson University.

Will you attend the Parkville Towne Center Fair this year? Tell us in the comments.
