DESCRIPTION:The Carney Improvement Association (CIA) will meet on Wednesd
 ay\, May 16\, 2012 at 7 p.m. at Carney Elementary School\, 3131 E. Joppa
  Road.&nbsp\; The CIA will close the year with 2 very interesting guest 
 speakers.&nbsp\;\nBring your BGE bill with you because our first speaker
 \, Phil Croskey\, founder of PointClickSwitch.com\, will demsytify energ
 y choice and provide you with a streamlined approach to compare supplier
  rates from multiple electricity suppliers and enroll with a lower rates
 upplier directly from the website.\nOur second speaker\, Chrisina Minkle
 r with Fran Ward from the Maryland State Highway Association (SHA) will 
 speak about the redesign of 695 Inner Loop entrance/E​xit at Harford R
 oad (Route 147).&nbsp\; This redesign project received approval on March
  27\, 2012 for use of funds from the Baltimore Regional Transportation B
 oard.&nbsp\; Very little design engineering will be completed by the CIA
  May 16\, 2012 meeting date.&nbsp\; SHA is in the data collection mode (
 e.g.\, acquiring surveys\, designating utilities).&nbsp\; Therefore\, SH
 A is fairly early in the design process. &nbsp\;An aerial map with the i
 mprovement shown in plan view will be shown.&nbsp\; SHA will be able to 
 speak to the operational improvement that drove us to select this projec
 t.
