Understanding the difference between a crush and flirting can be hard, here are some tips to help you.

Here’s the situation: you have a friend and you know full well that they have a crush on you. You, in turn, may not feel the same way but there's something about the attention that you’re getting that's simply irresistible.

Do you smell the problem yet? I can. The question is: what should you do? How should you handle this situation before it gets out of hand?

This is pretty simple to nip in the bud if, and only if, you're not attracted to the friend who has a crush on you. All you have to do is be honest. Yes, it’s that easy. Lay your expectations out in the beginning of your friendship.  Doing this will alleviate unnecessary confusion in the long run.

On the flip side, let’s say that you do like your friend on a different level, then once again you would need to put it out there — tell them how you feel upfront.

You never know where it can end up.
