Every Tuesday morning at 10am in the mall’s Lower Level Center Court, you’ll find Family Fun Day with Miss Julie entertaining dozens of preschool aged children.
And next week, Tuesday June 11, we’re excited to welcome Aberdeen Ironbirds Mascot, Ferrous, to Family Fun Day! Families will be able to get pictures taken with him and there will be loads of crafts and giveaways for the children.

If you’ve never heard of Family Fun Day, it’s a must-do for kids! Miss Julie, a 20-year veteran of the event and a former schoolteacher, leads Family Fun Day each week. She knows exactly what appeals to children and how to keep them entertained by sparking their imagination through sing-a-longs, books, music and more. Remember, all of this great entertainment is 100% free!
As I mentioned, Family Fun Day is geared toward preschoolers, but all are welcome, so if your little ones are a little bit older, they’re more than welcome to attend.

But Miss Julie doesn’t do it alone. She often invites special guests to keep Family Fun Day exciting and original. One week, kids could be enjoying a magic show and the next, a juggling act!
Here’s a list of what’s coming up in June:
June 11 - Music for the Fun of It with Mr. Bernie
- Children are invited to dance and sing along to traditional/folk, contemporary and original music. Visually stimulating props and costumes are used to make this show fun for everyone.
The Aberdeen Ironbirds’ will be our Special Guests! The Ironbird Mascot will make an appearance and will be available for photos with the families. There will also be crafts and fun giveaways.
June 18 - Pam the Kindersinger and Rascal
- Pam leaves her audiences laughing and wanting the show to continue. Even toddlers are up and moving to her original songs.
June 25 - Mr. Jones and His Amazing Suitcase Circus
- Mr. Jones, clown extraordinaire, presents his fast-paced, family-friendly Suitcase Circus to the audience while wow-ing the crowd with his juggling and plate balancing skills!
