White Marsh Mall Welcomes ‘Houses of Hope’ for the Second Year

White Marsh Mall is honored to partner with Cool Kids Campaign, a local nonprofit that provides children with cancer a higher quality of life for themselves and their families while facing the challenges of cancer.

Did you know that in the US, nearly 13,500 children are diagnosed with cancer every year, making the disease the leading cause of illness-related death for people 18 and under?

White Marsh Mall is honored to partner with Cool Kids Campaign, a local nonprofit that provides children with cancer a higher quality of life for themselves and their families while facing the challenges of cancer.  Through the Cool Kids Campaign’s “Houses of Hope” project, ten birdhouses are proudly on display at White Marsh Mall.

These hand painted, handcrafted birdhouses have been designed by current and former pediatric cancer patients to reflect each of their journeys.

We are hosting a special event for the artists and their families during Family Fun Day next Tuesday, August 6th and you’re invited to attend!  There will be crafts for all children and a presentation to recognize the young artists.  In addition, all children present will be invited to create cards that will be placed in a Cool Kids Care Package.

Visit White Marsh Mall and view these unique birdhouses in Center Court (lower level) between now and August 18th.  You can also view them on our Facebook page and vote for your favorite birdhouse for a chance to win a $100 Shop Etc. Mall Gift Card.
