From Super Dreams to 2013 Season Opener, Oak Crest Loves the Ravens!

PARKVILLE, MD—Seven months ago, the residents of Oak Crest, the Erickson Living retirement community, wished the Baltimore Ravens a successful Super Bowl trip to New Orleans with a Super Dream of their own: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SI08vzvZ8C8.

Today, Ravens Nation fever enthusiastically returned to Oak Crest as residents and employees held a tailgate party in advance of the nationally-televised start of the 2013 NFL season with the Ravens traveling to Denver.

The continuing care neighborhoods of Oak Crest hosted the celebration, complete with a celebrity guest: Poe, the Ravens famous mascot.  Poe made the rounds, spreading purple cheer and greetings as attendees enjoyed the football-themed menu prepared by the Oak Crest Dining Services Department.

Oak Crest resident Norb Radtke has strong hopes for the upcoming season.  “Oak Crest and Baltimore truly embrace the Ravens,” said the former Baltimore Colts fan.  “We have an outstanding coach in John Harbaugh, and I think the team has what it takes to make the playoffs again this season.”

The community’s Acorn Pub will host a special Ravens themed-viewing party for the big game, and, throughout the season, employees will celebrate the hometown team with Purple Fridays.
