Bomb Squad to Visit Police-Community Group Next Tuesday

The Parkville Police Community Relations Council will host their September meeting Tuesday night.

It's not every day that you get to see a live demonstration of a bomb squad at work.

That's just the opportunity you'll have if you attend the September meeting of the Parkville Police Community Relations Council Sept. 25, though.

The group, which holds meetings at Christus Victor Lutheran Church, will host bomb squad technicians from the Baltimore County Police Department's Hazardous Devices Team, according to an email from group treasurer Pat Crum.

The meeting takes place at 7 p.m. Sept. 25 at 9833 Harford Road.

"PCRC is a very important group in our community. They are our liaisons with the Baltimore County Police Department," said community leader Meg O'Hare in an email. "They educate us citizens at the monthly meetings and serve as our connection to our local Precinct 8 Police."

In addition, the group is looking for new members and will hold a bull roast fundraiser Sept. 22—a limited number of tickets are still available by sending an email to treasurer Pat Crum: patcherb@qis.net.
