Bunny Bash Raising March of Dimes Funds

The fundraiser is scheduled for March 23 at the Parkville Y.

Nikia Humphrey, a former teacher and elementary school administrator, is using stuffed animals to raise money for the March of Dimes’ March for Babies Walk.

Humphrey will be hosting Bunny Bash 2013 at 1 p.m., March 23 at the Parkville Y, 8910 Waltham Woods Road. For $20, children can build their own stuffed bunny, lamb or bears, according to a news release.

"All people of all ages love stuffed animals," Humphrey said.

She said that she’s hopeful that she will be able to raise $250, after recouping her expenses, for the march that is scheduled for April 28.

For Humphrey, who did her first Noah’s Ark Workshop party fundraiser last year and has participated in the walk for four years, was inspired to raise money for the March of Dimes by events in her life.
