Carney Improvement Association Launches New Website

The revamped website features newsletters, meeting information and a phone book.

The Carney Improvement Association recently launched a new website designed by group member Pat Rooney.

New features on the site include:

  • A phone book listing important county phone numbers from police to public works, as well as the phone numbers for area elected officials.
  • Residential security tips.
  • Meeting times.

The group, which describes it's mission as "mak[ing] Carney and its surrounding communities a better place in which to live, work, and shop," will hold its first meeting of the 2011-2012 year at 7 p.m, Sept. 28, at on Harford Road .

At the meeting, Rooney, who owns a security firm, will discuss crime prevention and residential security.

Carney Improvement Association isn't the only community group with a happening website — for more information on your neighborhood you can check out Harford Park Community Association, Villa Cresta Community Association, Overlea Community Association and Linover Community Association.
