Family Fun this Weekend in Baltimore County and Beyond

Here are some fun things to do around town with the family this weekend.

Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are some great events beyond the Catonsville area that you can enjoy with the family.

Where/When: Baltimore County, Rice Auditorium, 55 Wade Avenue Catonsville MD 21228, July 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, and 21 at 8:00 p.m. and July 15 and 22 at 3:00 p.m.   

Why to go:  Jason Robert Brown is a trendsetter in the world of modern musical theatre. His most memorable work, The Last Five Years, will be brought to life in Catonsville by two incredible actors: Stephen Deininger and Brett Hurt. The show will take place on July 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, and 21 at 8 pm and July 15 and 22 at 3 pm. Wendy Meetze directs.

Where/When:  Brown Center at Maryland Institute College of Art, 1600 W Mount Royal Ave, Baltimore, MD, July 20th : 11 a.m. - 9 p.m., July 21st : 11 a.m. - 9 p.m., July 22nd : noon - 7 p.m.

Why to go:  This festival is one of America's largest free celebrations of the arts. Expect tons of arts and crafts, dozens of live music performances and several other performing and visual arts events. Events take place at Mount Royal Avenue and Cathedral Street, Charles Street, Bolton Hill, and Station North Arts & Entertainment District.  Check out our 2012 Artscape Guide.

Why to go:  Rock powerhouses KISS and Motley Crue open their tour in Bristow.

Why to go:  It's not too early to start thinking about the holidays...so, up go the lights, wreaths, and mugs of hot chocolate for this special night! Joint Base Andrews Night by Navy Federal Credit Union

Heroes Night - we honor Military and Law Enforcement Heroes.

Where/When:   1030 Leslie Ave, Catonsville, MD, 8 weeks sessions for Thursday or Friday evening 6:30pm to 7:15pm.

Why to go:  Beginner fencing classes are now forming. Ages 8 - 80.

We provide the equipment and weapons. You come in comfortable gym clothes and good tennis or cross-training shoes.  A great experience for the family. And we offer family discounts!

To learn to fence is to learn HONOR, COURAGE, DISCIPLINE, DUTY, and DETERMINATION!
