Get Out! Weekend Fun in and Around Town

From the theater to a party bus, a horse racing fair to animal adoption, these local events will add interest to your upcoming close of the week.

Wondering where this weekend will lead you? Patch has several activities to get you out and about, in case you needed any.

Over the River and Through the Woods

Where/When:  Essex presents this comedy each evening of the weekend at 8 p.m.
Why Go? Presented in the Cabaret Theatre, this comedy written by Joe DiPiertro is about an 29 year-old Italian-American from New Jersey who wants to move to Seattle for a new job. His family tries to convince him not to pursue the , but rather stay in New Jersey instead.
Pricing: Tickets range in price from $24 to $28.

Pimlico Racetrack Fair

Where/When: Friday, from 5 p.m. to midnight, Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to midnight, at the Pimlico Race Track.
Why Go?  Magic and animal shows, rides and vendors, and food and a petting zoo make this event one that people of all ages will enjoy! Ticket sales stop one hour before closing.
Pricing: General admission is $5.

Baltimore Nightlife Boomerang Bus

Where/When: Meet at the Pratt Street Ale House at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights. The bus returns at 1:30 a.m.
Why Go? Jump on the Boomerang and experience Baltimore’s nightlife in neighborhoods such as Power Plant, Federal Hill, Canton, Harbor East and Fells Point. This is a party bus that will take you out for dancing, mingling and all-night fun! Riders will receive drink specials, priority admission and ZERO cover charges.  If you want to go on a pub crawl, this is much cheaper than cab fare—and much more fun.
Pricing: $25 for bar hopping all night.

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue Adoption Event

Where/When: The date has been changed! at 1238 Putty Hill Ave. will host this event on Saturday June 25, from 12 to 2 p.m.
Why Go? Orphan dogs need parents, and Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is making a great effort to help rescued dogs get new homes.
Pricing: Free

Murder Mystery Cruise on Baltimore's Black-Eyed Susan

Where/When: This Sunday, "Baltimore's only authentic paddlewheel dinner boat" presents Til Death Do Us Part, a murder mystery set to start at 6 p.m. and departing from 2600 Boston Street.
Why Go? With main courses like jumbo lump Maryland crab cake and hand-sliced BBQ brisket of beef, The Black-Eyed Susan is known for its top-quality cuisine. Add that to an adventurous murder mystery, and you get an evening that will leave quite an impression.
Pricing: $65 per person is the all-inclusive price.
