Parkville Remembers 9/11
Two events in the Parkville area will memorialize the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
It's been 11 years since the devastating attacks on Sept. 11, 2001 and two Parkville groups are planning to make good on the promise to never forget.
Chuck Ritz, a Parkville resident, is organizing a candlelight vigil to be held Tuesday evening along Putty Hill Avenue near Putty Hill Shopping Center.
Ritz, who organized a Patriot Day motorcycle ride that took place Saturday, was instrumental in along Putty Hill Avenue to create a "path of honor" memorializing the victims of the 9/11 attack.

The candlelight vigil begins at 6:30 p.m., and attendees are asked to stay and help remove the flags lining the roadway after.
In addition, over at , a "God and Country" service will be held and the public is invited to attend.

A number of speakers including author William Federer, Maryland state Del. Joe Boteler III, and Rabbi Neal Surasky will talk about the 9/11 attacks from 7-9 p.m.
"We are a church, so the service will definitely have the flavor of Christianity," said Cub Hill Pastor David Lewis. "I wanted to make sure that we were offering a variety of persepctives on the attacks though."
