Winter Storm Marches Toward Maryland; Could Bring Four Inches of Snow

The Parkville area could get two to four inches of snow Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service.

Baltimore County Public Schools students are barely back to class after winter break but they're already hoping for another day off.

And Mother Nature looks like she might be willing to grant that wish.

A winter storm is expected to drop two to four inches of snow on the Parkville area, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm is expected to start with rain after 2 p.m. Thursday. Precipitation will change to a mix of rain and snow before turning to all snow after 8 p.m., according to forecasters.

Thursday night will be "blustery," with winds ranging from 7 to 24 miles per hour and an overnight low of about 16 degrees.

A chance of snow will continue through 7 a.m. Friday, when the daytime temperatures aren't expected to get out of the teens. Wind chill values could make it feel more like 2 degrees below zero, according to the NWS.
