In lighter news, July was a month for businesses new and old as Fresh & Greens grocery store opened it's doors in the place of the former SuperFresh in Parkville shopping center, and Weber's Farm in Carney opened for the summer to the delight of area produce- and pie-seekers.

The Harford Road corridor gained a new ally in the form of a Main Street committee, dedicated to revitalizing the area and to round the month out, a Parkville man was part of the escort that brought a piece of the World Trade Center from New York City to Baltimore.
