GALLERY: A Glimpse Into the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival

The festival runs from Friday to Sunday at the Maryland State Fairgrounds.

Every artist has a story to tell.

Every photograph, painting, sculpture or garment was born out of inspiration.

At the Sugarloarf Crafts Festival this weekend, there are more than 250 designers and artisans eager to tell you theirs.

Three artists from the Parkville-Overlea area will display their work: Cat Holt of Claymonster Pottery, Bill Shafer of Our Moments In Time photography and Douglas Lake of The Art of Inspiration.

The full list of artists on display can be found here.

"This award-winning three-day festival will showcase fine contemporary crafts that capture the spirit of the fall season," according to a release. "More than 250 of the nation’s finest craftspeople will be showcasing their one-of-a-kind pottery, sculpture, glass, jewelry, fashion, wood, metal, furniture, home accessories, photography and fine art. Festival goers will also enjoy specialty food purveyors, live music and children’s entertainment."

The festival runs Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium.

More than 12,000 attendees visited the show in 2011. Will you be one of them in 2012?
