Parkville-Area Student to Perform at McDaniel's 'Jazz Night'
McDaniel College freshman Joshua Ellis will be featured at the free concert set for Dec. 5.
Parkville-Overlea-area student Joshua Ellis will take to the stage when McDaniel College presents its free Jazz Night Dec. 5, at the Westminster school.
The freshman will be a featured performer in the concert directed by Bo Eckard, senior lecturer in music, according to statement from the college.
Jazz Night will highlight the music department's Thursday and Monday jazz ensembles and the five-piece Jazz Combo. Featured styles of jazz will include classic big band, swing, bebop, Latin, funk, jazz-rock and Tin Pan Alley.
The concert, set for 8 p.m. Dec. 5, is free and open to the public.
