Same-Sex Marriage Ad Features Former Baltimore County Delegate

Todd Schuler appears in campaign ad supporting Question 6.

If you've been watching local television during the hurricane coverage, you may have seen a familiar face pop up asking you to support Question 6.

Former Del. Todd Schuler is featured in the commercial running in heavy rotation today on several local stations.

"The way I see it, everyone knows someone who is gay," Schuler says in the commercial. "Why wouldn't we vote to treat them equally. And that's all Question 6 is. Everyone should be free to commit to someone they love and I'm not going to be the guy to look his friends in the eye and tell them I voted against treating them fairly."

Schuler, a Democrat who represented Perry Hall, Parkville and Overlea from for one term from 2007-2011, has been a longstanding supporter of same-sex marriage.

I saw the ad several times, or rather heard it as I worked. Todd's looking good. Must be better living. I didn't recognize him on the screen.
Is there so little legal work that he's taking jobs from actors. ;})

I talked to the delegate during the session earlier this year (he was representing some union interests related to the pension bill the county wanted and didn't get). I forget how much he told me he lost, I remember being impressed by the number. He attributed it to changes in lifestyle and diet.

Didn't know him before but I love the ad and appreciate his support for this civil rights bill.
