HarCo's DuClaw Eyes Move To Rosedale

The Abingdon-based brewery could be fully moved to Baltimore County as soon as next spring, reports say.

Craft beer fans, rejoice.

Long-time Harford County brewers DuClaw Brewing Company are moving to Baltimore County.

Originally, the Abingdon-based brewery was eyeing an expansion to a larger 165,000 square foot space in the Havre de Grace area, but that deal fell through in late July, according to reports in the Baltimore Business Journal.

So now, they plan to move to Rosedale.

In fact, Benfield told Mitchell, the company is part-way through closing the deal on that space.

“The company expects to make a gradual transition to the new facility from its current Abingdon plant, and hopes to be running at the Rosedale site in spring 2013,” Mitchell wrote on his blog, The Original Beer in Baltimore.

DuClaw Brewing Co. president Dave Benfield could not be reached in time to comment.
