Home & Company To Close Up Shop

The 'fun furnishings' shop on Harford Road will close its retail business.

If, like a certain Patch editor, you're in the market for a bar, or perhaps a pool table or arcade machine you might want to act sooner than later.

Home & Company, the furniture shop on Harford Road that specializes in those types of items, is going out of business.

Operations manager Rob Dubell said the shop is closing up its retail space but that his family, which owns the business and the building, will continue to service pool tables, games and bars sold there for the forseeable future.

"With the economy as bad as it is, we hung in there longer than most high-end furniture places," Dubell said. "We'll still be running service, but we're getting out of the retail business. It sucks to go, but its just not cutting it."

Dubell said the store will remain open until the inventory sells out.
