One of the biggest names in comics is coming to Parkville for a signing this weekend.
Marc Silvestri will appear at Collectors Corner, 7911 Harford Road, at 12 p.m. Nov. 24.
The line to have items signed will be capped at 500 people—each person can have a total of three items signed—and Silvestri is scheduled to stay until every person has been seen, according to a Facebook post from the comics shop.
Silvestri, best known for his work on Uncanny X-Men and spinoff title Wolverine in the late 80's and early 90's, is one of the seven original founders of Image Comics, Inc. (along with Todd McFarlane of Spawn fame and Jim Lee of Uncanny X-Men and Batman: Hush, among others).
Silvestri is also the CEO of the comics label Top Cow Productions (Witchblade, The Darkness), where he currently is working on a relaunch of Cyber Force.
The signing coincides with Small Business Saturday and, consequently, a "Black Friday" sale at the shop.
