Report: MedStar to Layoff 74 Baltimore-Area Employees

The health system filed noticed with the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation.

MedStar Health Inc. will be laying off 74 employees at Baltimore-area hospitals.

The Columbia-based health system informed the Maryland Department of Labor Licensing and Regulation that it will begin the layoffs on Jan. 31, according to The Baltimore Business Journal.

The newspaper reports 19 employees at MedStar Good Samaritan hospital, 29 at MedStar Harbor Hospital and 26 at MedStar Union Memorial hospital will be let go.
