Area gas prices continued to decline, falling 11 cents per gallon for regular unleaded over the course of the week, according to the latest survey by AAA. 

The area average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is now $3.321, compared to $3.382 last week.

The lowest price for a gallon of regular unleaded in the area is $3.259—more than six cents below the average.

Six months ago, you would have paid more to fuel up, at an average cost of $3.61 per gallon of regular unleaded; last year you might have paid just $2.65.
