Video: Take a Look Inside Towson Green

We got a tour of the model homes at the 121-unit development.

It wasn't long ago that the homes at Towson Green existed only in floor plans and artist renderings.

Now, some of the luxury homes are ready for their close-up. Late last week, we got to tour the model homes at Towson Green and speak with Cathy Leaning, marketing director for Bozzuto Homes.

The 121-unit development is currently under construction between East Burke Avenue and Towsontown Boulevard, just off York Road.

Bozzuto will host a tour of its model homes on Saturday, March 10, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Some of the houses are still in progress—as you'll hear in the background during our video—but nine have already been sold, and several are ready for immediate move-in. The homes start from the low $300,000s and some, like the Dulaney model (which we did not get to tour), sell from the low $400,000s. Amenities include landscaping, kitchen appliances, hardwood flooring and high-efficiency appliances. Many models also have rooftop decks.

Are these homes "green", as in leed certified, or is Towson Green just the name?

They aren't LEED-certified to my knowledge, but the developers planned a lot of green features, like the Energy Star appliances, rain garden and what have you. It's a good question, though. I'll ask for you to see if they have any plans re: future certification.

Tyler, the patch needs to buy you a wireless mic that works with your camera :-)

Haha, noted for the next time I film near power tools. I checked the audio on my camera before I tore down and thought it was OK. And naturally, when I packed up, everything quieted down.

From Bozzuto spokeswoman Lauren McDonald: "All homes at Towson Green will be Green Certified to the National Green Building Standard. For more information, visit here: http://www.nahbgreen.org/."
