Y Offers Showers To Those Without Power

Left without power in the wake of Superstorm Sandy? Y of Central Maryland is opening its doors to you.

Been without power for a few days? How about a shower?

The Y of Central Maryland, with two locations convenient to Parkville-Overlea, is opening its doors—and its showers—to anyone in need.

In an email Wednesday morning, Fifth District Councilman David Marks wrote that the centers were available for those without power.

"Our office has confirmed that anyone without power may use the Y locations at both North Plaza and at the Perry Hall Square Shopping Center," he wrote.

As of Wednesday morning, the BGE outage map shows that around 28,000 customers in Baltimore County are still without power.
