Oak Crest Selected as a Top 100 Agency in Nation by HomeCare Elite

PARKVILLE, MD--Oak Crest, the Erickson Living retirement community, announced that it has been named as a Top 100 home health agency in the United States by HomeCare Elite™.

Now in its eighth year, HomeCare Elite identifies the top 100 and top 500 agencies overall, and recognizes the top 25 percent of agencies, based on an analysis of nearly 10,000 organizations nationwide.
HomeCare Elite winners are ranked from July 2012 to July 2013 by an analysis of publicly available performance measures in quality outcomes, best-practice (process measure) implementation, patient experience, quality improvement and consistency and financial performance.

It is the second time in three years that Oak Crest has earned the prestigious Top 100 recognition that serves as an industry standard for organizational performance.

Robin Keeler is the Home Health Administrator at Oak Crest.  She oversees a team of twenty-three health care professionals who make approximately 850 monthly visits to Oak Crest residents.
“The home care team is dedicated to providing high quality care, allowing our residents to achieve positive outcomes,” described Mrs. Keeler. “Being able to recover and rehabilitate in-house, when needed, by a team of dedicated and familiar professionals is such a comfort to our residents and their families.”

“We strive to provide our staff members with the education and resources they require to deliver excellent customer service, and we truly work in partnership with Oak Crest’s physicians and social workers to create an individualized health and wellness plan for each resident,” stated Mrs. Keeler.

“The 2013 HomeCare Elite winners demonstrate a commitment to providing patient-centered care and serving as leaders in the home health community,” said Mary Oakes, senior vice president of post-acute at National Research Corporation. “We congratulate Oak Crest on being recognized in the Top 100.”
